Aviation Spotter Community
The idea behind the Spotter community is to strengthen the cooperation between the different domestic and international spotter groups.
The idea is that we will make a deal with the airport authority that give us access to parts of the outside of the airport area that is better to take pictures of the planes.
This will be in cooperation with the airport authority and airport security and the police.
This community is open for all that have a general interest for aviation so its no matter if you are a beginner or a professional plane spotter.
It can also be a good thing that the more experienced plan spotters can give the new ones to the hobby some good advice on how to take good pictures or video, and
how to edit them so it looks good.
Viewing/Spotter Platform
One of the things that will be high on the agenda is to get a deal with the airports that don’t have it to give us permission to set up a Viewing/Spotter Platform there they think can be a good place to have this platform on the outside of the airport fence so we don’t disturb the daily operation on the tarmac.
But the Viewing/Spotter Platform will be so high that the spotters can see over the fence so they can take good pics of the planes. How big the platform is will be up to the spotter group that use the airport to decide
This will be in full cooperation with the airport and it will be the local spotter group to see to that there is looking nice and that people that visit the platform don’t throw garbage all over the place.
The spotter platform will be free to visit for everyone that have interest for aviation but if there will be much work with keeping the area clean and so on so can they take a small fee from the visitors that is non members of the group.
One good idea can be to set up a party tent there you have your kiosk with some tables and chairs so the visitors can sit and relax little between the spotting, and look at the pictures they have. Maybe do some paperwork if they do that.
Here you can sell things like water, fizzy drinks or coffee and some snack maybe some hot food so the groups earn some money to maintenance of the spotter platform and to the spotter group. But this will be up to the spotter group to decide what they do and how much work they want to lay in it.
