When I go to the airport, for the vast majority of the time, that means I’m about to board a plane somewhere and go travelling and enjoy myself.
I like to turning up to the check in counter to dump my suitcase off, and receiving my boarding pass.
This means I’m going away to somewhere different very soon!
I also enjoy walking around the terminal to see what kind of planes have pulled up to the terminal. If I have the chance I usually take some pictures of them if it’s possible there are some airports that have much things outside there windows so it’s not so easy.
Regarding my favourite aircraft – I like the massive Airbus A380, but I have not yet travel whit it. I also like the Boeing 747 and the Boeing 777-200 and 300 as this planes has taken me to a lot of places, like to Asia. I travel most whit smaller planes like Boeing 737-700/800 and Airbus A320-200 since it’s most small and medium sized airports I travelling to.
I am a travel plane spotter I guess since it’s most then I do my plane spotting since the airport we have here I live have no exiting planes most Boeing 737-800 planes and some smaller planes, plus there is no good place to spot at the Airport.
Airports we usually spotting on
I usually do some spotting when I am travelling since there is more planes to see and bigger planes at the major international airports in Europe and South East Asia mostly but this will be expended in the coming years to
For the moment i am spotting much on the following airports.
- Ålesund Airport Vigra (AES)
- Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL)
- Bangkok International Airport Suvarnabhumi (BKK)
- Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL)
There will be some airport spotting in different airports so all in all it's a ok way to spend the time on layovers.
I will have a trip to our local airport to see how there look like, and to see if there is any change in the spotter places there since last time there was not to many good places to plane spott.
Had also plans to see if there is some good spotter places on the airports in the places I travel to that for the moment is most to Tacloban Philippines and other places in Philippines and there are some other Airlines then we have here in Norway.
Helicopter spotting
We do some helicopter spotting since we have helicopters flying not to far from us here I live.
It's most the same helicopter companies but since it’s always something different so is it quite interesting to do that type of spotting.
